[instrumentals] tru comers ctr-002 / competition

as you may have read on our facebook page, i got a nice package from the tru comers in the mail this week! i have not been warned about this release before- so what is it all about?

«what’s good y‘all?! It’s been quite a while since our last release and during that period quite alot happened also. about 1 ½ years ago we moved our studio into a new location, added a lot of production-gear; we got into a new world of production and surrounding.

so actually that was the start of this new release event hough we didn’t know that at this time. We were just making beats allday ending up with tons of discs and many joints; to make a long story short: out of those beats we took 10, arranged and mixed them, added 2 skits and here you go: CTR-002!!! (btw they fucked up the runout and wrote CRT-022 instead of CTR-002, goddammit)

gear we used: mp2500, mp2000xl and the heart of our production environment 2x S950 and 2x sp1200. to us this project is kinda special cause it represents the crazy time we just been through. the whole record is kinda like a roadtrip through the last 1 ½ years. you probably gotta listen to the record several times to really grow into it and feel that ish. anyway, we just hope ya’ll enjoy the record!

the next remix session is here!

today we have pa-double from switzerland. for those, who didn't know– he is dj & producer of nefew (also known as emphacized prophecy). a swiss rap group with english raps.

Wassuup!! It’s PA-Double! I'm one of the founders of On Our Feet Ent./Out Of Frame Records plus DJ and producer of Nefew (formerly known as Emphacized Prophecy).

I started producing back in 1998 using just a computer with no multi tracking sound programm ( I think it was the wave-lab which came along with the PC, can’t remember exactly though). Now, I usualy work with Samplitude, MPC2000, microKorg, Plugins + additional live instruments we record in the On Our Feet Studio (Shouts to Polemikk!).

I did the beats for this remixes already a few years ago. The Children Of The Corn Remix was actually featured on one of my mixtapes tagged as „Harlem Mix“. Alkuttraz was looking for that 12“ for about 3 years, until I told him that I produced that track (He still hates me for that! Haha..) The other tracks were not ment to go as a remix but when Alkuttraz asked me to remix a few songs I just put them together. I hope you enjoy listening to them. finally, switzerland enters the indy scene with a brillant remix ep by the tru comers! none other than the freestyle professors, the alps cru and the dysfunkshunal familee are featured on this little nugget here on comin tru records!

"two and a half years ago we did a remix project with beats of us no one intended to use. we added accapellas and here's the final result:

then in the beginning of 2008 we thought we should do another remix project– but this time on vinyl! so we asked several artists for exclusive accapellas and in the end we managed to get these three and then started to produce the beats for them. unfortunately the whole project really took its time...


the tru comers are dj sperrow and dj x-pert. we are producing beats since the age of 14/15 and we also did the scratches on this remixes.

This product is strictly non profit- we're even if we manage to sell each and every copy."
