ill distracxion exclusive

damn, another exclusive on crates of ag!! this time i have nothing less than material from the ill distracxion fame!

for those, who slept: ill distracxion consists of mc's and producers world & pliz. they released a huge indy bomb in '96 called "no mc's". in case you've missed it– you can check this out here . also they were involved in several other projects like albums and 12"'s by the x-ecutioners and kukoo the baga bonez. world and kukoo even released an lp under "insane psycho home" in 2002, which is pretty slept on.

"im pure hip hop untouched. i go by many names like pliz, superpledge / goldie horn, psycotic nasty, godz seed. i created crews like ruff n rugged, ill distracxion, the big bad wolves, i worked with ol'dirty bastard, dj kayslay, the executioners, and more...
preparing to go back in the studio to remix/master ol'dirty's big bad wolves under a major label deal. currently running a custom clothing center in jamaica queens, complete with digitizing, embroidery, trimming and whatever you can think of.
world will be active with me on this big bad wolves project , as far as ill distracxion goes, i recorded many tunes with world, so if we have to perform them we will be together, and there could be an ill distraxcion album in the making. so we will be working together." [pliz]

now, i've chosen the following tracks for your listening pleasure:

- 2 tracks of pliz aka goldie horn from a kay slay sampler, which never got released.
- then 3 tracks of the big bad wolves crew (pliz, world, ol' dirty bastard), which are the perception of raw ('95-'97).
- also i've included a track of pliz as super pledge.
- as extras you'll find a mixtape only joint called "psychotic nasty" which was floting around before and i had to include a joint from the insane psycho home lp– mc world over a pliz beat!

shout out to my man verge, who helped me with this!

enjoy!

[remixes] dj skeletor / germany

yes yes y'all, i'm so proud to announce the next chapter of remixes on crates of ag!

this time we have a personal favorite of mine from germany– dj skeletor aka indyvinylz (27). this guy's remixes are mad mad dope and we came here today to bless you with 15(!) re-edited indy tracks. crazy, right!?

"i produce since 10 years i guess..i use musicmaker and fruity loops..low budget ish ;)

all productions have the 90s feeling in it, cause thats what i feel when makin beats. most of my prodcutions are made out of feelings and emotions, so when i was happy and shit, i had other things in mind than makin a new beat. thats why 90% of my beats are mellow, sometimes sad, mystic or real grimey ! not really jazzy and happy stuff in here. i love the grimey and mellow mid 90s flava, so i guess thats why i produce stuff like this.

i make beats and remixes for my own listening pleasure, and to express myself, and maybe for self-made therapy purposes too, hehe. i really hope people can feel, what i felt when i made the beats. thats my main aim!!!! thats the same i do, when listening to a dope record.

these shared remixes are just the tip of the iceberg.
i keep the bombs for later ;) ... maybe for a promo vinyl release, who knows." [dj skeletor]

kaotic disciples of tha poet

as heard on the deerhuntaz mix back in march '08!

this is kaotic disciples from the bronx. raw disciple aka premise, soul disciple aka tha j.o.b. & dark disciple aka blakmaskingtape rock this record from '98.

"Out of the Bronx, pushing the periphery of circle, emerge the "Kaotic Disciples of tha Poet." By exploiting lyrics, imagination, creativity, and nonconformity, we expand hip-hop's circumference. Check out the new Maxi Single! "It'sAllKaotic v7.3" is the anthem. "Beats N' Rhymes" brings us back to the essence of hip-hop. Finally "The Collective" engulfs you in a sea of imagery and soulfulness. It's mesmerizing. There's something for everyone."

drop a comment in case you know about more releases. pretty nice twelve inch in my opinion. word!

[remixes] incise / canada

brand nu flow!

okay, i'm a big fan of good remixes, so i'm gonna start a new series called remixes today. my aim is to serve dope remixes of mostly indy records. so, if you produce your own beats or know a guy who does and you think me and the readers of crates of ag would like it, then email the track(s) to cratesofag at hispeed dot ch. once i have enough material i like, i will post it on my site. so, don't be shy and send me your stuff. this might also be a good chance for you to make some noise on the scene.

and to start the whole thing, i have the great oppurtunity to bless you with some amazing remixes by incise from toronto. this guy did an unbelievable job with prince ali in '07 with an ep called "i miss '94", which was and still is free for download. get it here! another free prince ali ep followed and incise even released an equally dope full length called "nobody's story" last year. be sure to check this out properly!

now, here's remix package #1 by incise:

t-max is my favorite joint here. whats yours? give the man some props, he deserves it! also i have to give my man toax a big shout out for lacing me with these tracks! thanks homeboy.

now, send me your stuff or start making your indy remixes!

on another note: the competition has ended. the lucky winner of a free i-power 12" is chris! with "Crates of AG– Nothing But AG Thang"! Congrats man and thanks to everyone, who took part of the contest!

i-power returns / competition

what's up indy world

i have great news for y'all! remember the special about i-power i had a few weeks ago– they're back with a brand new twelve inch!

it's an independent release by them on 77 soundz which features "1 life 2 live"," seen a vision remix" & "play da back '96". 250 copies were pressed up and they are $40 each. no retail. special limited press for the fans.

they are only available through mofunk: djmofunk@hotmail.com

in addition, more records are coming out. the next 12" is already mastered and is going to the pressing plant next week. also, a repress of the "under da sun" 12" is planned. and even more...

this record is hot! "seen a vision part 2" kills it! so be sure to get your copies as long as they are available.

i have two more good news from my side: on the one hand upon approval by dj mofunk i can lace you with full tracks, and on the other hand i will give away 1 FREE COPY of this 12"! yeah, it's competition time!

the competition:

i need a new phrase for the crates of ag header. the actual one, "3 years strong", will be replaced. so, easy fellas. send your suggestion to cratesofag at hispeed dot ch and the best one will get a free i-power 12". this competition will run for 7 days starting now. please do NOT use the comments section for proposals.

indikator

another blessing from the crates of ag headquarter! this is a golden nugget from '94 and goes by the title of the vision. yup it's the debut ep by indikator from philly, brought to you by damage records. all tracks are produced by none other than the world famous phill most chill.

all four cuts on this ep are dope and have already been covered on some indy mixes . my joints are "damage" and "back 2 yorktown".

the indikator also released another 12" in 2000 called "smooth as i...". also he released a full length cd called "remain 2 calm".

nowadays he's working on a project called "enter the zone tv", an urban entertainment tv talk show in the delaware valley tri-state area.

that's about it folks!

bornsinnas / dve finale

just when you thought you had them all...

here's a missing piece of the last deerhuntaz mixtape– the bornsinnas from the domestic violence family!

i have to give a mad shout out to my man david from france, who laced me with this copy last year. i was sure dve only released 5 records until he enlightened me. once again, we have pretzel's logic on the production tip. and of course i got no info about this two men crew. looking at the cat. number my guess is they released it somewhere between '94 and '95. but i'm not sure.

my joints here are "all it comes down 2" and "bornsinn'in". i can't find anything about this release on the world wide web– a pretty scarce record!

let me know should there be even more dve releases out there!

BORNSINNAS 12" '9x

1. ALL IT COMES DOWN 2
2. ALL IT COMES DOWN 2 REMIX
3. BORNSINN'IN
