jerry g

i have to dedicate this one to my man madkid- he posted one track of this twelve inch a while ago on youtube.

i'm talking about a rapper called jerry g. i didn't know him before- but i understand that he comes from the same corner as hi-fidel & dj crucial on f5 records from st. louis. i'm pretty sure most of you guys at least heard of them before.

this nice record is from 2002. two of the three tracks were produced by dj crucial while the third one was done by keanutis smith.

[instrumentals] timeless / germany

our second presenter in the beats section is corccey aka timeless beats from germany. i stumbled across his beats on his youtube channel a while ago.

«My name is "Timeless". I come from germany & I'm 18 years old. I started makin beats back in summer 2008 at the age of 16.

I chose the name Timeless because True School hip hop what other people call underground hip hop today is timeless. I mean there are tons of true school albums that people still remember til today. I've been listening to hip hop since '99 and since then it became pretty much the leading thing in my life. My inspiration comes from countless producers (Pete Rock, DJ Premier, 9th Wonder & Large P just to name a few of them).

I don't use a MPC. Just like "Bugseed" i use FL Studio 8 and i'm completely happy with it. In the beginning i've kept my production pretty much simple, but after a long time makin beats my style of makin beats became more & more advanced.

The reason why hip hop is so important to me is that it helped me going through tough times and made me express myself with my beats. Makin music was one of the reasons why i never started smokin' or drinkin'... to keep my head clean for new ideas.»

cannabis

one more unrevealed record from the darkside mix– cannabis with their '94 twelve inch «represent no question»

all i see is they are from connecticut and go by the names kaseem, craig & frog. this was put out on linda records and together they represent the ghetto link production. the freestyle version is where it's at, the street mix is more a different instrumental-theme.
