interesting update today...i dug out records by trigga, whose "new york carjack" 12" should be quite popular nowadays.
i think his first releases were the two coney island gankstas records from '92 and '93. unfortunately i'm not able to serve you with audio for these right now.
due to the fact that trigga grew up with john "mook" gibbons (manager of the wu-tang clan back then), he became an affiliate to protect ya neck records, which then dropped his above-mentioned solo release "new york carjack" in 1995. (this got rereleased on hot wax in '96)
in the same year, trigga aka big trigga had another 12" on durdee mack records with big cy. they called themselves the gunslinguz.
along with a few featurings on wu-member albums trigga teamed up with itchy finga sha around '97 to a group called the money makin' operation - short: mmo.
the brooklyn based duo had two releases on echo i think and put out a full length called "all about the money". also they had several tracks on the 3 volumes of the protect ya neck compilation series on the japanese handcuts label.
