rakim allah / 2 years crates of ag / competition

first of all, 2 years crates of ag and no one even noticed...shame on you!!

since i love exclusive white labels/ bootlegs i will dedicate this post to a veteran in the game, rakim allah. there are plenty of unofficial records out there by the master, but i came to choose two of mines.

i once knew more about the background of these recordings but i can't recall it right now. you get eleven tracks of best material, probably not officially released due to sample clearance problems or lack of interest. the first ep should be from around '95/'96 and also exists with a green label. i don't know which pressing came first.

pretty, pretty, pretty dope shit right here, be sure to check this out!

RAKIM "UNRELEASED STUDIO SET" '9x

1. REMEMBER THAT
2. LAST RESORT
3. LIVIN FOR THE CITY
4. I GET VISUAL
5. SHADES OF BLACK REMIX

RAKIM "UNRELEASED SHIT" '96

1. REMEMBER DAT
2. ONCE UPON A RHYME
3. PAID OFF
4. HOW I'M LIVIN'
5. TRYIN' TA WRITE RHYMES
6. BRING IT ON

as mentioned before crates of ag stepped into its 3rd year of existence. as gift i have 1 brand new freestyle professors shirt (Size: XL) to give away.

how you can win this?

well, since halloween is about to happen:

make a picture of yours or a friend of yours. on that picture you stand on your right foot (left one is in the air). you have to hold an 80% peeled banana with your left hand and a record with your right. you have to wear a hat, bandana or wig. in your mouth there has to be a cigar or anything similar.

send the picture to cratesofag at hispeed dot com and win the shirt.

peace,

white label (once again)

wow...this black moon track must be one of my favorite white label remixes ever out there.

on this record you get a remix of jeru's "ya playin' yaself" and black moon's "how many mc's". as i said before, the black moon joint is my shit right here. i love that beat and think it fits perfectly.

who produced these two tracks? dj eclipse, mighty-mi, the vinyl reanimators, stretch armstrong? i have not found an answer yet. if i remember right, i even asked eclipse once and he denied. also i think the vinyl reanimators didn't do it. was it stretch then? anyone knows more about it? date of release was '97.

white label action

i picked out two more white labels to get back on track again.

the first choice is one of my favorite wu-tang records ever. ol' dirty bastard's "dirty and stinkin'" is my shit. you get a funky beat with entertaining lyrics by odb, who gets support by 62 assassin of sunz of man. i think this was recorded in '94 but pressed up in '96.

"it's dirty and it's stinkin'
it's dirty and it's stinkin, baby
it's dirty and it's stinkin, yes
it's dirty and it's stinkin, i said
it's dirty and it's stinkin
it's dirty and it's stinkin'"

OL' DIRTY BASTARD FEAT. 62 ASSASSIN WHITE LABEL '96

1. DIRTY AND STINKIN'

i also have another pressing of it. looks like a uk-boot to me.

the second record i picked for today is a white label by onyx. you'll find two excellent tracks on this one. while on the a-side you get a remix of "shout" produced by pete rock, you have "most def" on the flip, which was produced by fredro starr. both track are dope! release date should be '98.

ONYX WHITE LABEL '98

1. SHOUT (PETE ROCK REMIX)
2. MOST DEF

jay nice

chicago strikes back...i got this dope white label two years ago. the record has two tracks which were both produced by jay nice. he gets backup by lyrics of mr shane. jr of the molemen told me this record came out in '04 but probably had been recorded earlier. he didn't know if it was ever released commercially. he had never seen it in stores and thought it was limited.

my joint here is "mars". i love the lord finesse cut-up.

white label action today! way back i've heard this joint on one of dj sebb's weekly independent radio shows but i could not find any info about it...then one day something appeared on ebay and it was obvious that this would be the record i was looking for ages. it was a collabo track between royal flush, channel live and mic geronimo called "smoke session".
